La Feria brings together people from different professions, artistic fields and countries, creating a space where they can turn ideas into high-quality projects. After graduating in Social Communication and Media at the University of Costa Rica, Marcela specialized in production at the International School of Film and Television at San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba (EICTV). Then she completed an international coproduction research project at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
Her films have been selected for prestigious programmes: Nuevas Miradas (La Habana Film Festival) in 2008, the Berlinale Talent Market Project in 2010 (Pitch Award), Tareula (Miami Film Festival) in 2011, the Rotterdam Lab in 2012, the Ibermedia First Project Development Workshop in 2012, Encuentros Cartagena in 2013, Talent Campus Guadalajara in 2013, the EAVE Puentes workshop in 2013, La Fabrique Les Cinemas du Monde in Cannes in 2014, Cinergia Lab 2014 and the Foro de Coproducción in San Sebastián in 2014, Amiens 2014.
She develops fiction and documentary features. She enjoys working on films from the scripting phase with writers and directors. She also has experience as a director, production manager and director's assistant.
She loves films, swimming, reading, dancing and travelling. She speaks English and French. She would like to live near the beach, play the saxophone and cycle through different countries.

Kim studied Social Communication and Media at the University of Costa Rica, specializing in audiovisual production. In addition to working at La Feria, she directs, films and TV host for the University of Costa Rica television channel. She has also tutored artistic clubs that are active in the audiovisual production field at PDPU University in India.
She enjoys tango, painting, dancing, photography and art. Her wide appreciation of art and inability to choose one discipline led her to audiovisual production, which she says is "the art that combines all the rest."
